Spring has arrived - hooray!  To celebrate I borrowed my mum's dog and spent the afternoon on Dornoch beach.

Finally winter is over and the warm weather has arrivied!  The sun is shining, the daffodils and crocuses are in bloom, and everyone seems to have a smile on their face!  Looking out from Craigside Lodge you can still see a sprinkle of snow on Ben Wyvis in the distance but every day that lessens as the temperature rises.   Making the most of the sunshine today I spent the afternoon in  Dornoch - Dornoch is a beautiful village less than an hour North of  Inverness.  With its endless sandy beach, championship golf course and beautiful cathedral (Madonna had her son christened here in 2000!), Dornoch is a perfect place to go to for a day trip from Craigside Lodge.  Let's hope this weather continues!
