Snowdrops are always a welcome sight in Spring - especially after the winter we have had! Making the most of the Spring sunshine I spent the day in Drumnadrochit.
14 miles South of Inverness, and a staging post on the Great Glen Way route, lies Drumnadrochit. A quaint wee village on the edge of Loch Ness, Drumnadrochit boasts numerous Nessie attractions, tours of Urquhart Castle and cruises of the Loch, as well as pony trekking, Nurseries, a pottery, and beautiful woodland walks (where I spotted these pretty snowdrops and saw my first ever woodpecker!!). We are so lucky to have all this on our doorstep - Drumnadrochit is definitely worth a visit when you come to Inverness and Craigside Lodge!
