So the year is almost over and I would like to thank everyone who has stayed with us in 2009, and look forward to seeing all of you who have already booked for 2010!

2009 has been a terrific year for us here at Craigside Lodge - with our reservation book full to bursting we welcomed many new faces and many returning guests.  We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2010.

We are already looking forward to the new year starting as it promisies to be a most exciting year for Inverness.  The music scene is ever expanding and we will see the return of the much loved music festivals such as Rockness in June and Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival in August.  Following the success of Elton John in 2007, Inverness is proud to host Rod Stewart this year, he is playing at Caley Thistle stadium in July.  Sporting wise, we can expect a record number of entrants for the popular Inverness half marathon in March and the Festival of runnning in October, as well as the Maggie's Monster Hike & Bike in May.  And, as always we look forward to the traditional Scottish Highland Games and Tattoo in July.

Personally we have a very exciting year ahead of us.  In February Ewan is competing on the GB curling team at the winter olympics in Vancouver - they have spent the last 4 years training for this so fingers crossed it goes their way.  I am VERY much looking forward to going over to Canada to cheer him on!  And finally, Ewan will at last be making an honest woman of me when we say 'I do' in October.  Venue booked, wedding dress bought...exciting times ahead!

   Amy
